Unfortunately, I didn't see tent camping spots available when I booked, so I opted to reserve a drive-in hook up spot. We spent $70 total for two nights. I thought that was reasonable since our spot had a pretty great view of the lake! Our spot included power, fire pit, and a decently sized corner lot.

The pictures online were definitely worth the hype. This may have been one of the best lake beaches I've visited in the Midwest! The sand was soft, clean, and newly raked. My husband and I spent about two hours here floating and enjoying the nice weather. I can't wait to bring our son here! It's a great park for families and it definitely felt very safe.

I've eaten at a handful of marinas before and normally, I have low expectations. However, The Marina Bar & Grill was 10x better than I imagined. The restaurant has a waterfront view, live music, and delicious food. I couldn't believe when I saw a gluten free pizza on their menu! I ordered pepperoni and Trey ordered the fish bites. We both really enjoyed our meals!

My husband enjoys golfing, so we booked an early tee time at Fox Run golf course! The course was nice and well maintained. Plus, it wasn't that far of a drive from our camp spot. It was about $70 for Trey to golf 18 and me to ride along in the cart. The price wasa  little steep, but we had a fun morning together!

I can't wait to plan another trip to Yankton! We had a great time at The Lewis and Clark Recreation Area. The bathrooms were clean and there were paved walking paths everywhere! It's the perfect weekend trip from Omaha, especially because it's under three hours away.

Tip: My favorite shower that wasn't busy and fairly new was at Bathroom Y1.

It can be a challenge to find a good bowling alley, especially in a big city. You don't want to roll up to a sketchy bowling alley with kids in tow! Papio Bowl is by far one of the cleanest bowling alleys and safest for you and your family. We saw many other families while we were there! This would be a great spot for a date night for couples too!

Unlike many bowling alleys near us, Papio Bowl is very affordable. My husband, son, and I played three games and ended up paying $45 with shoes included! I thought it was super reasonable since some places can cost $100 per lane. 

The food and drinks were also awesome! We ordered wings and pizza, along with beer and a sangria cider. It was nice to see a gluten free option for bar drinks! I saw others ordering a pitcher of beer which would probably be a great idea if you were bowling with friends. Our total for food and drinks came out to $35! 

We had such a fun time here! It was relaxing and they were super accommodating for kids. They had little dinosaur ramps to make bowling easier and the bumpers automatically came up when it was our son's turn. I've never seen that before! You should check out their arcade games too on your way out. They have many different kinds!
