[ This article is sponsored by Coastal Mississippi. I was given a one night stay in exchange for written content. However, I never promote places I don't love! All opinions are my own. ] Are you tired of heading to overrated travel destinations and doing the same dang thing as everyone else on Instagram? I've got a fix for you. This past March, I had the opportunity to stay at a dreamy cabin in downtown Ocean Springs, Mississippi. It's called The Beatnik and after staying, you will critique the decor of every place you book going forward. Each inch of this cabin was designed with nature in mind and the simpleness of the space, makes it that much easier to reset. Let's jump into why The Beatnik might need to be your 2022 summer vacation. best place to stay in ocean springs, msThe Beatnik is in its own lane compared to other hotels. Their property consists of four cabins, a plunge pool, fire pit, and quiet garden. The idea for this creative space was influenced by the Beatnik culture from the 1950's and 60's. They like to advertise that they are a "New Way to Stay" and I couldn't agree more. As I walked into my cabin, I was met with a wet bar and a gorgeous shimmering backsplash. Unique mugs lined a wood shelf above the sink and a Chemex was ready to go, to brew an early morning coffee. This was such an upgrade from your average microwave and fridge situation :) perfect spot for a couples' getawayWhile I made my way through the cabin, I couldn't help but think this must be the most romantic place I've ever stayed. Behind the bed, was an accent wall constructed of wood slabs that produced a peek a boo effect. To the left, a ceiling to floor window showcasing a concrete patio and front seat to their lush green courtyard. Out the back, a copper outdoor shower head and hammock for post pool snoozes. an affordable x unique place to stayOne of the greatest things about this hotel is that it's affordable. During the summer season, cabins start at $239 for a Sunday night. To stay on a weekend, they do ask you to reserve two nights when booking. If you're looking to head there in the fall, prices drop to $171. This is a pretty good deal because it's only about three blocks away from the beach! amenities for the kidsCurrently, I'm living in Nashville, so I decided to drive down to the Mississippi Coast. My favorite gas stations to stop at were Love's. They always felt safe, bathrooms were nice, and there were many families there too! The Beatnik is not only romantic, but also accommodating if you bring your littles with. Select cabins have a bunk bed nook which is perfect and super fun for them to climb! Along with this, since the pool area is gated and narrow, it is easier to keep a close eye on your kids. a comfort you won't find somewhere elseThis place had it all and was a refreshing breath from your normal hotel scene. If anything, the location of the property seemed a little odd. It was nestled into a residential neighborhood, but I was never bothered by anyone! When I think back on this trip, I remember how comfy it was to crash into bed after a long drive. I noticed an electronic hot water pitcher on the counter and couldn't wait to get some ramen going! As I snuggled into the covers, I found out they offer Hulu to you for free. I had the best rest ever falling asleep to Grey's Anatomy under a striped knit blanket. If you're looking for an affordable hotel in downtown Ocean Springs, The Beatnik is calling your name. Want to save this post? Pin it here for later! Related posts:
