Who lives on pizza and beer? This week I wanna talk about a cool bar near my hometown. For those of you who don't know, I grew up in Aurora, Nebraska :) It's a small town about an hour west of Lincoln! My boyfriend has been working there for the summer, so I try to visit as often as possible. A few months ago, his parents took us to this tiny bar in Chapman and I cannot shut up about it, lol. So, here's why y'all need to journey out to western Nebraska... directions: This place is about 25 minutes from Aurora, 15 from Marquette, and 10 from Central City. It's definitely a nice change from driving to Grand Island and eating at some franchise place. Beer 30 sits on 205 9th Street and is only open Wed + Fri-Sun (4 to 8pm Wed/Sun and 4 to 10pm Fri/Sat). pizza + drinks: Alright guys, this is the place to DRINK. I'm pretty sure we got four beers for $10 anddd they were in glass bottles, how neat! For appetizers, they have things like mac n cheese bites, onion rings, and jalapeno poppers priced at six bucks. Okay, now for the pizza. You can get a one topping 16" pizza for $20 and a specialty pizza for $22. We did half meat lovers, half bbq pork with pickles and it was great! A few others I'd like to try is their chicken bacon ranch or spicy buffalo bacon chicken. Plus, their crust is YUM. what it's like: I've seen the whole license plate/sign theme done a lot, but damn! They do it good here. It doesn't look tacky and these signs are well organized. Very aesthetically pleasing. I'll definitely be going more often! Also, I loved their high top tables. They used a dark glossed wood and everything felt so clean. If I wasn't pregnant at the time, I'm sure I'd spend hours there! That's a wrap folks! If you're from the area...what are your small town favorites? For more inside details on my fav Nebraska spots...hit up my newsletter! I send out two emails a month and they are filled with FUN faith/travel things. I'll share other small town food joints or bible plans I'm reading.
