Are you ready for a dreamy evening filled with good food and even better company? WHITEFISH IS WHERE IT'S AT. This blog post was suppose to be about Glacier National Park. Although, when does a road trip ever turnout how you expect? In this case, I was overwhelmed by what I found instead. A few weeks prior to this trip, a friend of a friend who lived by Glacier reached out to me. We had never met before, but he offered to take me kayaking when I was in town. LIKE WHAT. ARE STRANGERS REALLY THIS NICE? Fast forward to the night I arrived in Montana. It was close to dark, but we still managed to do five things that make up one of the coolest nights of my life. That's why I wrote up, How to Have a Magical Night in Whitefish, Montana... 1. Hit up the farmers marketWhen I drove into Whitefish, this market looked like the heartbeat of the town. Central Avenue was covered with tents, food trucks, live music, and crates of fresh produce. Christian, my friend of a friend, told me I had to try an acai bowl from Mountain Berry Bowls food truck. We shared the, "Going to the Sun" bowl and it was the dopest thing ever. For sure ready to hire someone to make me that for breakfast everyday lol. 2. Check out Open Road Coffee CompanyHave you ever had nitro cold brew coffee? OKAY, now have you ever had a GOOD cup of nitro cold brew coffee? I hadn't until I tried Open Road's. My past experience with nitro brew have been disgusting. Like taste like green beans disgusting. That's why I was a little hesitant trying this one. PUT YOUR FEARS IN YOUR POCKET, because this stuff is great!! The couple who own it are absolutely adorable too. You can find their bus in downtown Whitefish from 10-5 daily. THE COOLEST PART? You can rent them out for weddings and parties! I can't wait to head back up there and have their coffee again! It's a cup you'll remember. 3. Head up to Big Mountain Ski AreaMake a reservation to stay and ski OR head up to catch some cool views. The winter ski season starts December 6th for 2018! We did our own thing and hiked around to a few dope spots. I can't imagine how pretty this place is covered in snow! :) If I only I didn't suck at skiing, eye roll. 4. Buy a burger at Bulldog SaloonIf someone asked me to name a food joint that reminds me of "college," I'd have to say this place. The atmosphere was so fun and chill. I ordered the Ortega Burger with Cajun Fries and damnnn, if I could eat this every game day, I would. Next time, I need to try one of their drinks! 5. Kayak on Whitefish LakeYou can't hit up Whitefish without getting up close and personal with this lake. This was my favorite part of the evening. I don't know how I got so lucky on this trip. God is too cool and so is Christian lol. I wish I could end every night like this. You can't tell me this lake doesn't look magical as hell? Alright guys! That's all I have. If you've been to Whitefish and have more recommendations, drop em below! :) I'm ready to head back and spend a WEEK here eeee. Was this post helpful? UGH GUYS. Thank you!! I was a little nervous about posting it, just because I was only there for a few hours. So it means a lot for you to recognize it that way! :) I will ALWAYS speak highly of y’all! It was so fun to see that town. You’re very lucky to have Christian as an employee! Hope to see you again one day! Thanks again for being so dang sweet.
