Why I Love Travel

I hate the word "bored" and I try to never say it out loud. It's difficult for me to not say something when other people say it too.

There's a whole world out there. A world hand-crafted and carefully designed by our Creator.

What could be boring about that?

It's been two years since I first wrote this post. I maybe had five blog posts total at the time? Lol, the craziest part to me, is that this probably took two minutes to read. I was so NERVOUS to share knowledge on the internet. Which is most likely why this sounds more like a freestyle poem! This week, I thought it'd be cool to channel my inner 20 year old self and write like I did when I first started...

I love traveling because I love change.

Change of scenery, pace, season, routine, + food.

Traveling is newness everyday.

• ​It's experimenting with hotel shampoos and using the waffle iron at breakfast.
• It's random airports, crowded monuments, and roadside stops.
• It's exhausted feet, chilly hands, and glowing sunset shots.
• It's toasty sand, roaring water, and broken shells beneath your feet.
• It's music on the pier, sweet accents, and Southern hospitality. 
  

Travel is a song we all love.
​     A song we all dance to.

I used to feel embarrassed to say I like to travel. Almost every girl does, lol. However, times have changed and I don't have to say it like that anymore. Most of the time I end up using, "I travel quite a bit." This takes it from an interest to an action. It's being the girl who does things rather than the girl who plans to.

I'm really tempted to change the title of this post. It makes me cringe and it was not run through a headline analyzer! Although, something inside me wants it to stay too. When I was writing those first couple posts, I didn't know what I was qualified to talk about. I thought, well if I make a weird poem, no one can tell me I'm wrong! Looking back, I'm hella glad I just hit publish. Without all the weird poems, I wouldn't have worked my way up to writing travel guides I'm proud of. If you love the topic, just hit publish kids!
