This past weekend I made a trip down to visit my boyfriend in California! He is currently at Camp Pendleton, so I stayed at the Rodeway Inn in San Clemente. For the weekend and price, this place was the perfect spot. Although it wasn't quite near the beach, the walk was only about 15 minutes. I was digging the rustic look of this hotel, I didn't want to leave. Because of a few flight delays, I wasn't able to make it to San Clemente until 2:30pm. On Saturday we spent most of our time on the beach, in the water, or by the pier. And a few of his friends resuscitated a dying beach fire, which was quite entertaining. On Sunday we lounged around in the hotel room over pizza and old movies. It wasn't much time together, but I was thankful for the time we did have. I can't stop using my Polaroid, they make everything you do so fun. I am currently trying to master the brightness settings on there. Monday morning I had an hour before check out, so I decided to head in the opposite direction of the State Beach where we went on Saturday. I could see the water in this direction from my hotel, but I wasn't quite sure what I'd find. After 30 minutes of exploring, I found myself at North Beach. I only had about 20 minutes here in order to make it back for checkout on time. Next time I definitely want to spend a day here. Sad I had to leave so soon, but I'm glad we took a bunch of silly pictures to remember the weekend. For breakfast, I grabbed a ham, egg, & swiss croissant along with a tall white chocolate mocha from Starbucks. It was only $10.35, and compared to another place in the airport, that was a deal. While I was waiting for my connection flight in Vegas, I found a cute bakery place, I ordered a Chicken Pesto Panini. It was BEYOND delicious. I was scarfing it down before we boarded and even the flight attendant was asking me where I found it! I'm sure I'll be back soon, but man it was a great first experience in San Clemente! *What are your favorite things to do in San Clemente? *Is there a surrounding town you love? Related posts:
